Catching Up

It has been almost a year since we posted anything on our blog. We had a wonderful Christmas and we have loved hearing from Todd in El Salvador, Tom in Denver, and Eliza in Catania, Italy. She is now in the Rome, Italy Mission. Catania has been combined with Rome.

Our big news for the year was two-fold and we mean two-fold. Mandy and Rob had twins on April 9. Robert Graham was born first and weighed 4 lbs. 4 oz. (I think). Oneta Simone Ellen weighed 4 lbs 15 oz. They were born 6 weeks early and were in the hospital until they could be stabilized and eating enough to go home. They are darling and it is fun to watch them together. We got to take care of them while Mandy and Rob went out to dinner for their annivesary.

Our granddaughter Lauren married Seth Niederhauser on April 23, 2010. They are a darling couple and we loved being there for all the events of their wedding. Lauren went to the temple on April 22 and had a nice family lunch after. Their wedding was a wonderful occasion and Seth and Lauren were a beautiful couple. The reception at night was very elegant and everyone had a wonderful time.

We had our upstairs bathroom all ripped out except for the tub and what a lot of crashing and noise but it was done in no time. Little by little the work was done in the shower and a new glass enclosure was put on. We love the new tile in the shower and on the floor. The potty view was mainly to show the color of the walls. We had to wait a long time for the cabinets since the first ones weren't painted right and some pieces of wood were broken. Finally, it was all done and inspected the day before we left for Canada.

REMODEL OF OUR UPSTAIRS BATHROOM

Finally, the bathroom is finished.

Finally, the cabinets are in and we are waiting for the top.

The enclosure is so nice and didn't take long to put in.

We love the color of the bathroom and the new lights.

The only new thing
is the faucet, shower head, etc.

Now the floor is tiled.

The tilework is done.

We didn't sign up for blue tile but luckily it came

off after the grout dried.

Showing the shower place with alcove for
shampoo, etc.

Yay!!!! The wall is cemented before they can do the tile.

Cabinets will go here.

Covering before they put the cement up for
the tile.

This is where the cabinets will be (looking into the hall)

This is the potty place with window looking east.

Only the tub is left but it is covered up. This will be the
shower when it is all tiled in.

Everything is torn out.
