ASHTON TURNED ONE

Ashton is our darling great-grandson. Our grandkids Kelly and Loren are his parents. His party was darling. Kelly decorated it so cute and invited friends with a little child and Ashton had a monkey suit. He was the cutest monkey ever. He loved his presents and really watched when the other children picked something up.

OUR HAPPY ANNIVERSARY PARTY

Chrissy organized a wonderful anniversary party for us. We loved being with everyone that came and had a great time. We appreciated Michelle getting a family picture together for us in the park. Bonnie did the table decorations and came a long way. Danielle and Mandy took pictures at the party. Vicki helped get the food together and get it there and also brought flowers, Chrissy had lots of fun ideas, did the invitations, arranged for the taco man, tablecloths, the heart shaped cake and all the pretty desserts (Vicki and Chrissy) and probably a lot of other things that I'm too feeble to remember. Matt did the music. It was in the planning for 6 months and Chrissy worked hard on it. Also she got the pictures together and framed them. Sandi Williams did our flowers and the flowers on the cake. Thanks Sandi.

Aunt Nancy and Uncle Bob spent some time with us. Margaret S. and her family, Mary J. and her family and Aunt Shirley surprised us and came. We loved having Melissa and Porter, Mandy and Rob, Loren and Kelly and Ashton, Bonnie, Mike, and Ali, all of Vicki's family, Chrissy's family and Mike and Michelle's family, also Bob, Heidi, Tom, and Christy. You are all the greatest.

EASTER AT MICHELLE AND MIKE'S

Tanner was sustained during Easter Sacrament meeting with about 35 family members there for encouragement. He is a great young man. His Bishop Dad presented him. After a nice block of meetings he was ordained a Deacon by his Dad with Uncles, Cousins, and Grandpas participating. It was a very tender blessing and a moment we would like to keep in our memories. Mike and Michelle made a wonderful Easter dinner after and everything was full of beautiful flowers and happy faces. The younger kids had a candy hunt and found plenty of candy. We all had a great time together. Thanks Mike and Michelle and family and all who came.

These are the flowers our family sent for Uncle Lloyd's funeral. It was actually prettier than this with big spider chrysanthemums, roses, and carnations so that it was more filled in with big flowers. We loved being with your cousins and Aunt Donna. Everyone was so loving and kind to us and we thought we were there to comfort them. It is nice to be in a big LDS family. We brought home programs from the funeral so you can see how it was.

SAD NOTE! Lloyd Nielsen died on February 10 and his funeral will be Saturday, February 16. We plan to be there and will let you know the details. He was doing his treadmill and just died with his boots on. He was 79 years old and was a great relative to us all and a patriarch to his stake and his family.

Hooray! We finally registered and got a blog. Now all we have to do is put something on it. We love seeing all your pictures and updates and clever things that you put on. What a wonderful family we have.
